GLICO Pensions was awarded the Best Trustee – Corporate Governance for 2017 at the Ghana
Accountancy and Finance (GAF) awards in November 2017.

GLICO PENSIONS, a leading pensions trustees, was recently decorated with two (2) awards at the first Ghana Finance & Accountancy Awards 2017. GLICO PENSIONS was honoured for “Outstanding Corporate Governance in Pensions”. The Executive Chairman for GLICO GROUP, Dr. Kwame Achampong-Kyei also received an award for his Outstanding Contribution to the Finance Industry.
Receiving the award for GLICO PENSIONS, Mrs. Belinda Dede Tandoh, the Chief Finance Officer, GLICO PENSIONS stated that GLICO PENSIONS is committed to prudent management practices to protect the assets under their management. It is for this reason that GLICO PENSIONS adheres to governance principles as well as implementing to the letter the guidelines set by the National Pensions Regulatory Authority (NPRA), for the management of Tier 2 and 3 pensions.
The Executive Chairman’s honorary award was delightfully received by Mr. Andrew Achampong-Kyei, the Head of Legal & Special Risk, GLICO GROUP. He thanked the organizers of the awards for recognizing and honouring GLICO and the contributions of his father, Dr. Kwame Achampong-Kyei, for his selfless devotion to promoting insurance and financial management among Ghanaians.
